General Link Guidelines:
- Resources should be displayable in common browsers (MSIE, Netscape, Lynx, Opera, etc.).
- Do not use a web promotion or web site submission utility to submit your link. All submissions must be made manually using the "Add a Link" form
- All sites must be suitable for viewing by people of all ages. This includes sites that link to such sites
- Biogeosciences.org is not meant to be a commercial or business directory. If your site is commercial, the chances of having it posted are based subjectively on the usefulness of the site and its ability to exist as a resource
- It is recommended that you be officially connected to the site being submitted in some way
- The site must be in the English language or have an alternate English language version available
- Do not submit "test" entries, this creates unnecessary work for both you and us
- Do not make multiple submission under one category, but you may make separate entries for different categories
Instructions on Submitting a Link: |
 |
- Before you begin, determine where on the site should this link appear. If there are multiple locations, include all of them in the comments field.
- Location and Category: Where this link should be included (ex: outreach teacher section, links page, funding, etc.)
- Title: Enter the title of the site being submitted. Keep it as short as possible while still imparting a meaningful title.
- URL: Ensure that the URL is entered correctly as the site can not be accepted if it cannot be accessed (include the "http://")
- Description: Enter the description for the site being submitted. Try to keep the description to 2-4 sentences. The description must be actual sentences, not keywords. Even though you may not think a description is necessary for where you think the link belongs, please include it anyway, the link may be moved or duplicated in several locations.
- Contact Information: Information on how to get in touch with you or the website in question
